Bike workshop CONSENT FORM
build your own bike
The Triangle is planning to take 6 young people to a bike workshop @ UpCycle at The Remakery, 51 Lilford Road, Brixton, London, SE5 9HY. They will learn all the different bike parts, inner tube repairs and how to repair brakes. This is covered over 2 sessions. They will need to be available on WEDNESDAY 16th August AND THURSDAY 24th August from 1pm – 5pm. The young people will be escorted to the workshop and back to the playground and they should return to the playground by 5pm at the latest.
They young people will need to bring with them:
1. Oyster card with 2 bus journeys worth of travel on.
2. Dress appropriately: wear clothes that are comfortable and can get dirty in. Bike grease can be a stubborn stain!
3. Bottle of water and snacks.
4. Any medication e.g asthma inhaler
There is limited space for this trip and young people must want to learn the above bike maintenance skills and be able to lift a bike by themselves. Places will be given at staff discretion and the young people must be prepared to get their hands dirty. If you would like your young person to attend the workshop please complete the consent form attached. The young people will be asked to fill out a short form when they get to the workshop by the course provider.
